Denise Lin Photography and Shing Weddings offered to do a stylized photo shoot giveaway to one deserving engaged couple. After reading through many heartwarming love story submissions, Tricia and Russell’s was the one they connected with most. The following is Tricia and Russell’s magical story, remembered by Tricia: One day at Tricia’s work, her co-worker Val shoved an iPhone with a picture of Russell in her face during their lunch break. There Russell was with a tiny playoff beard, a Sedin jersey and beer in hand, a loyal Canucks fan! After a few dates of mini golf, sushi, watching Transformers and repeated visits to David’s Tea, Tricia and Russell decided they loved each other’s quirks and it became official. After two and half years of dating, Russell proposed on November 16, 2013 during their hike on the beautiful Buntzen Lake. It was clear and cold out, when Russell got down on his knee and put a ring on Tricia’s stunned, limp, awkward hand. Tricia laughed excitedly and said yes! A fish started jumping out of the water immediately after (3 times in celebration perhaps!)
The shoot was held at the gorgeous Rosewood Hotel Georgia and was transformed into a beautiful inspired space by The Flower Factory and Wedding Design Studios. Uniquity Invitations’ Stationery and Kien and Sweet‘s Cake and Desserts were the perfect finishing touch to the beautiful décor and floral. Tricia was transformed by Faye Smith Makeup and Hair. She wore a vintage style lace short wedding dress and a strapless sweetheart neckline mermaid Gown from Pure Magnolia and Jimmy Choo’s Capri champagne Nude and Silver pumps. Tricia paired her dresses with elegant accessories from OhKuol Jewelry while Russell wore a stunning tuxedo from The Tux Store. It was a fantastic shoot for all the contributing vendors.
