DIY Pastel Islamorada Wedding

I spy a piña colada and what looks like a strawberry mojito. Quite possibly two of my favorite tropical concoctions, ever. And just one of the many reasons I fall for beach weddings every single time. This colorful Morada Bay Beach Cafe soiree has me with fingers crossed, hoping the next wedding invite in my mailbox is jet-set to sun and sand. In the meantime, this cheerful gallery from Darling Juliet will do!

From the beautiful Bride… My family was so involved in helping with our wedding! My mother (Libby Stout) made all the burlap and cloth table runners and she made the burlap flower cones that were on the aisle. I made the pinata and other various decorations. All of the china and other decor was purchased at Goodwills, garage sales and thrift stores.

One of our favorite moments was the actual ceremony. Kristi walked down the aisle to an acoustic version of Europe’s The Final Countdown, which we thought was awesome! The decorations that our florist (The Blonde Tulip) and my mother put together were beautiful!
