4 oz ginger syrup*

12 oz fresh grapefruit juice

1 bottle ginger ale

1 grapefruit

For the Ginger Syrup:

4 oz fresh ginger

1 cup sugar

Stir until mixed, bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer for 45 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer. Syrup can keep for 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
