From the Bride… I am thrilled to share with you my beautiful Victorian era block party wedding! Our unforgettable wedding took place this past July 6th at Heritage Square Museum in Los Angeles, California. The park-like setting showcases an amazing collection of Victorian era homes that are original to the Los Angeles area. Set along side the LA River and 110 Freeway near downtown Los Angeles, the nearby muffled sounds of traffic are a friendly reminder of how diverse and amazing this city truly is. Once inside the grounds of Heritage Square, you are swept away to another world. The rustic white church made for a stunning backdrop to our ceremony and the surrounding homes placed along a gravel cul de sac were an incredible setting for our block party celebration!

My vintage-inspired dress was an unforgettable Monique Lhuillier V-neck lace gown with a Petti Coat Net overskirt. In order to have a bit of fun on the dance floor, I eventually swapped my overskirt for a champagne satin sash that felt perfect for the occasion. Both of my bridesmaids and adorable flower girls were dressed in J.Crew and I loved how understated yet beautiful they were.

Much of the decor was a collection of vintage wood crates and boxes I found at the Rose Bowl flea market which I used to dress up tables such as the self serve popcorn station and dessert table. The hand printed menus, escort cards and table numbers where designed to compliment the BBQ themed dinner which speaks to the casual family focused vibe that was important for us to capture. The floral design was a gorgeous combination of muted pinks and ivory flowers mixed with succulents, and moss. I wanted the flowers and décor to compliment the vintage setting and with the help of my talented florist and extremely loving and hard working friends I was able to have a wedding day that was beyond my wildest dreams! I feel so thankful for having such an amazing community of friends and family that made it all possible.
