There's this lovely little place in Australia called The Cosmopolitan... a place where garden ceremonies and crazy cool receptions reign supreme.  It's also the kind of locale that plays perfect host to an adorable bride and groom like these two, a duo that knows a thing or two about throwing a pretty party.  Think romantic details and enchanted everything.  See it all captured by The White Tree in the full gallery.

From the Bride... My husband, Daniel and I were married on March 23 2013 in Daylesford & Trentham, Australia.  Our wedding played out a little different to most, we wanted to make the day last as long as possible because from what we had heard from everyone, 'the day goes so fast', so we had two receptions to ensure we had lots of time to celebrate with our family and friends. While that may sound a little over indulgent, we cleverly managed to have both functions cost us the same price as it was going to cost us when we were looking at only one.

We chose the location because it was the central point between where both our families are from. We encouraged our guests to come for the entire weekend and enjoy rehearsal drinks with us the evening prior to the wedding and a brunch the day after. While we invited our guests with traditional mail invites, I also created a wedding website (not using the standard wed-site templates mind you, that would have been too easy…) with every detail they would need for the weekend -

Our inspiration for our day was really trying to being together the elements that make up us a a couple. For the look and feel that meant, simplicity, earthy, romantic and detailed. For the day, that meant a very involved weekend and lots of fun!

We were married in front of 104 of our nearest and dearest at 1pm at the Cosmopolitan Gardens in a little town, Trentham, Victoria, Australia. During the ceremony, Daniel surprised me by taking a 50cent piece out of his pocket when our officiant said he may kiss the bride. I was so overwhelmed with emotion in that moment because it was the same way I got Daniel to kiss me 9 years earlier. I will never forget how surprised, amazed and consumed with love, I felt at that moment in time. I think it says everything about our relationship; meaningful and real.

After the ceremony we went straight into a sit-down lunch reception at the Cosmopolitan Stables just a short walk through the gardens. It was such a beautiful, simple setting. Here we had most of the formalities including speeches and our first dance.

Later that afternoon while our guests remained at the venue for an hour or so, the bridal party jumped into the getaway Kombi Van (which had the sweetest little wreath I ever did see added the front badge!) for photos in the forest and a quick pit-stop at a cute little pink petrol station.

Our guests were then bussed to our Cocktail Evening Soiree in Daylesford at Frangos and Frangos where they met us to party the night away! Here, some of the more 'fun' formalities took place, including the father/daughter dance, garter & bouquet toss, last dance and sparkler send off.

We feel so lucky that we were able to spend quality time with each and every one of our 104 guests. It was the greatest party of our lives.

To top it off, my husband organised a surprise honeymoon and I had know idea where we were going until arriving at each airport. Hawaii - Mexico - Los Angeles. He really wow'd me!

The Details:

One of the most special things we will treasure from our wedding is our guest book. I made it myself, and printed prompted lines and questions to help our guests with their messages. It makes us laugh and cry when we read it, it is really special.

I had a surprise little costume change before going into my cocktail evening soiree and my wedding dress overlay was taken off to reveal a more simple wedding dress underneath! I loved that my dress was two-dresses in one. My guests were very surprised.

A tea station set-up at our evening function for our older guests to enjoy. My sister and I hand-made heart shaped sugar-cubes to add a special touch.

We had oversized lettering 'EM&DAN' made up to wow our guests when they walked into the venue.
