Give us a magical, Midsummer Night's Dream-inspired wedding, and you'll have an office full of SMPers smiling ear to ear. But roll in 5 amazing LBBers (looking at you, Elisabeth Millay, Firefly EventsViolet And Verde, White Label DJ's + Sugar Couture!) and our love affair just got elevated to a whole new level. Forged in the North filmed the day in perfect fashion, and it's all a scroll away!

From Firefly Events... Youyou and Rahul were an absolute joy to work with from start to finish! Helping our clients to achieve their wedding hopes and dreams is always the name of the game in our business, and we couldn't wait to get started on crafting a spring soiree that would capture both the love and admiration that Youyou + Rahul had for each other, and their fun and adventurous spirit.

The wedding and reception were held at the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, just an hour out of NYC, in lush Hudson Valley. Youyou was very inspired by the ethereal world of Lord of the Rings and A Midsummer Night's Dream, and wanted the wedding to have a similar feel. The tone was set from the start with this dreamy, embellished wedding dress from Jenny Packham.

The magical Sunken Garden provided the perfect backdrop for the ceremony, performed by one of the couples best friends! Bridget from Violet and Verde created this spectacular woven branch altar piece, adorned with delicate spring blooms in white and cream for Youyou and Rahul to stand under as they exchanged vows. After the ceremony, guests were led down a tree lined path to the Italian Pavilion for cocktails and...Video Games! This one was on Rahul's wishlist for the big day, and we loved putting together this fun arcade tent for him. It was one of the biggest hits of the night.

We continued the magical garden feel throughout the evening with farm tables topped with florals in hues of violet, blue, and green. Ornate lanterns brought some extra sparkle while guests enjoyed their dinner and toasted the happy couple. With spirits high, Youyou and Rahul led the whole crowd in one of the most serious dance parties we've ever seen! At the end of the night, it felt almost criminal to cut into the amazing cake created by Elizabeth Hodes, but it turned out to taste as good as it looked. We were happy to have extra slices to send home with everyone!
