Iconic New York City Engagement Session

In my mind, there is nothing better than a bottle of bubbly with the love of your life on a NYC rooftop. Especially if the dog comes along. So Robert & Kathleen obviously blew my mind a little bit with this iconic Manhattan engagement session. Don’t just take my word for it though, make time for the gallery to see just how beautiful an engagement sesh in the Big Apple can be!

From the bride to be… We met in college at the University of Connecticut, but it wasn’t until years later when we both moved to New York City that we’d run into each other at an alumni happy hour and see each other in a new light. We quickly realized we shared the same passions in life: career driven, family obsessed and always up for hosting a good party. A casual drink, led to a memorable date, and year after year of summers any place nautical and winters anywhere skiing, we knew there was no looking back.

His proposal was a perfect example of everything our relationship stood for. There was dinner, there was champagne, there was family, and there was Tate – our beloved puggle – with the ring secured around his collar. It was the most perfect night I could have ever imagined. …and so it started, the series of “Best Days Ever.”

Our engagement party and then our engagement shoot to follow were also part of those “Best Days Ever.” Since we’re getting married back in Connecticut, we knew we wanted to do our engagement shoot in New York, the place that ultimately brought us together. I envisioned a very iconic New York City engagement shoot that emphasized all we love about the city. We chose spots around Manhattan that all have a strong meaning to us as a couple. Grand Central is not only one of the most gorgeous historical landmarks in NYC, but also a place we very frequently pass through for weekend visits to our families. We also wanted to incorporate our apartment, since it’s our favorite of all the places we’ve lived, it’s where Pat proposed, and it has the most breathtaking panoramic views of the NYC skyline. Lastly, we knew we had to include Tate, since he’s such an important part of our family, and there’s nothing like bringing a city dog to central park in the fall to put him in his element. Robert and Kathleen really made this shoot so special for us and we couldn’t be more thrilled that they’ll be capturing our wedding!

I love you, Patrick, with all my heart, and couldn’t be more excited to become your wife next summer!
