Traditional Ballroom Wedding at The Adolphus

This, loves, is traditional elegance done oh-so-right.  The kind of magical affair where drop-dead gorgeous stylings mix and mingle with stunning florals from The Garden Gate and the breathtaking setting known as The Adolphus.  It’s what we here at SMP call “pure, unadulterated perfection” and you can see every last magical moment captured by Ivy Weddings right here in the full gallery.

From Ivy Weddings… If you asked us to plan a wedding that captured all of the elegance, regal history, and romance of Dallas, we couldn’t have done it better than Elizabeth and Justin did. The century-old romantic baroque Adolphus Hotel, once named “the most beautiful building west of Venice,” served as the perfect backdrop to their gorgeous day. With a stunning pastel floral palette by The Garden Gate and an exquisite cake and matching cupcakes by acclaimed Dallas bakery Frosted Art, all the details fell into place for the perfect expression of refined style. Elizabeth and Justin tied the knot in front of family and friends, and danced the night away to live music.

From the Bride… We rented a 15-passenger van the day before the wedding. Justin drove some of out-of-town family to the Bishop Arts district to have authentic Texas bbq and pie. They enjoyed it so much, some went back again before they flew home. On the morning of the wedding, Justin played golf with a group, including my Dad. My bridesmaids, my mom and I spent the day getting ready and watching Aggie football. After this, we were overjoyed to see that our hopes and planning for an elegant wedding had come off without a hitch. Our favorite splurges included having a live band. Justin’s favorite part of the day was saying “I do.” My favorite part of the day was getting to marry Justin, and sharing that experience with some of our closest friends and family.
