If there's one thing I've learned in my years at SMP, it's that Southern weddings are awesome.  The kind of weddings that mix romance and rustic in crazy gorgeous ways and always (always) fill our hearts with happiness.  Case in point?  This beautiful gem planned to perfection by Spencer Special Events, which has Southern charm down to an absolute science.  See it all captured by Marcus Krause right here.
And a little something special from Hart to Heart Media? Yes, please.

Tessa and Dennis' soft, natural and romantic Low Country wedding paid homage to the natural setting they were married in and every detail reflected southern elegance and charm.

Tessa and Dennis married May 11, 2013 under a handmade driftwood chuppah on the green of the signature Colleton River Plantation Club golf course. The bride wore a stunning fitted gown, outstanding family heirloom jewelry and her bridesmaids wore a soft french blue. The groom and groomsmen were dressed in khaki suits that reflected the natural setting with coordinating ties. The couple's niece was a flower girl and came down the aisle in a custom wagon decorated in flowers and greenery.

At the dinner reception, guests sat at long tables under cafe lights with long birch containers of hydrangeas, soft white blooms, and tall pillar candles, setting the ambiance for a beautiful evening. Tables were named after Lowcountry trees, further paying homage to the Low Country environment. The bride and grooms chairs were marked with vintage chalkboard signs hung from jute.

After dinner inside the clubhouse, guests enjoyed a sweets bar and large white cake with spectacular sugar flowers and danced the night away. It was true elegance in the Lowcountry for Tessa and Dennis!
