Glam Auberge du Soleil Destination Wedding

For the girliest of the bunch, I’ve got a treat for you, and it comes with macarons, 50 pounds of pink and purple candy, and the most beautiful wedding overlooking the Napa Valley – which you are going to absolutely adore. Captured lovingly by Vero Suh, this soiree is pink and glittery, and so, so beautiful!

From the beautiful bride… I was that little girl who dreamed of finding my prince charming and having a wedding day full of all things sparkly and pink. I was fortunate enough to meet my modern day prince charming and, two years later, my wedding dream came true on a beautiful summer day in Napa Valley. Being that my husband and I first met in San Francisco (and moved to Boston together 6 months later!), we wanted to pick a venue that would always hold a special place in our hearts. Auberge Du Soleil was perfect. It combined the understated elegance and luxury that we were looking for with an intimate setting for our closest friends and family.

Our ceremony overlooked the picturesque backdrop of Napa Valley. My Mother walked me down the aisle as I wore my beautiful lace and chiffon Lazaro gown with an ivory cathedral veil. We wrote our own vows and when we recited them every word felt that much more special. The ceremony was followed by cocktail hour where guests snapped photos and enjoyed sunset views of the beautiful wine country. But the marital bliss truly kicked in as we settled into the dinner reception at our sweetheart table and took in the warm and joyful smiles of our guests. I will always remember that moment of happiness just sitting next to my new husband watching our dear friends and family celebrate our love. Our delicious dinner was served by the wonderful Michelin rated restaurant of Auberge Du Soleil and soon afterwards we were ready to get the party started! There was plenty of dancing, photobooth fun, and love was definitely in the air. Our wedding cake was beautifully displayed on a purple sequin table linen and tasted as divine as it looked – the strawberry and mango mousse was an absolute hit!

I would say our theme was classic romance with touches of glam, a blend that was complimentary to both of our styles. I am definitely a gal who loves sparkle, so I worked with our floral team to create pink and blush tone centerpieces with just the right amount of crystals to glam up the natural decor of the reception area. I also alternated sequin and silk table linens throughout the reception tables to match our theme. Did I also mention the touches of gold glitter on our wedding stationery? It all came together beautifully and, thankfully, Vero and her team captured all the details!

Planning a wedding from Boston was much easier since I was lucky to have my Mother in San Francisco to help us with the DIY details. She spent hours adding purple glitter ribbons and thank you tags to our wedding favors. Summertime in Napa can be warm during the day and cool in the evening, so we created personalized monogramed water bottle labels to welcome guests with cool refreshments and provided lavender and blush colored shawls in the evening for guests to use and take home. Of course we couldn’t forget about the cute little kids, so we put together goodie bags to keep them entertained during the reception. By the end of the night, my hands were covered with little stickers given to me by our flower girls. Too cute! The fun would not be complete without a dessert table full of a delectable assortment of goodies, 50 pounds of candy and cupcakes from our favorite bakery in San Francisco. It was plenty of yumminess to go around.

We could not have asked for a more beautiful, fun, and loving wedding celebration. We are truly grateful for awesome wedding vendors, our family & friends, and of course our love…which made it such a perfect day for us!
