The Northwest is a magical place (which is why I am thrilled to pieces SMP has a blog dedicated to its prettiness now), and when the talented vendors that call it home to join forces to create inspiration, wonderful things happen. Case and point, this coastal glam shoot from Love Song Photo, Paisley Petals and Wonderstruck Event Designs – it’s packed to the gills with pretty, and there is even more here.

From Krista Welch of Love Song Photo…This shoot pays homage to the natural beauty that surrounds us here in the Northwest, while adding metallic details that elevate the overall design to a sophisticated level. The look and feel of the shoot is slightly more modern than vintage, however we do feature touches of both styles throughout.
The location is near and dear to me, personally, as the town of Seabrook is such a great place for a cozy beach getaway for those of us here in the Northwest. And now, it is one of the most perfect places to hold a destination wedding because of its location, its charm, and new, cute little venue.
Many couples envision a sun-drenched wedding day, but this styled inspiration shoot proves that a foggy day at the beach or inside a misty woodland cove is every bit as enchanting as sunny sand and surf. This wedding shoot is inspired by the charming town of Seabrook, Washington and highlights the grand opening of their new, incredibly romantic white wedding chapel. Note: The Town Hall/Chapel venue is so new that its exterior was not even 100% finished at the time of our shoot! However, we were able to showcase its elegant interior spaces. It is so nice to have the option for an indoor ceremony & reception here in the Northwest! As you may have heard, it rains here occasionally…
Seabrook is a designed coastal community located halfway between Seattle and Portland and set in a landscape saturated with breathtaking natural vistas. From the wide open sandy beaches and mist-shrouded forests, to the comfortable and stylish amenities wrapped up in charming New England-inspired architectural details, natural beauty abounds.
The photo shoot reflects the relaxed and charming appeal of a small town Pacific coast wedding – mixed with easy, textural metallic details, and soft florals that create a feeling of nature-inspired sophistication. The overall feel is inviting and whimsical, undoubtedly charming, and full of thoughtful detail.
We’ve noticed that the most popular looks for wedding dresses currently tend to lean toward lots of lace and sweetheart necklines, which we LOVE. However, we decided to change it up a bit and feature dresses with a more modern twist, including a gorgeous, sparkly number from Rent the Runway, which is my personal favorite.
Also be on the lookout for a romantic beach picnic setup, a handmade bohemian gold and pearl sea star crown, some really great hairstyles for girls with curly or bi-racial hair texture (finally!), a bride and groom flying a kite on the foggy beach, stunning forest & beach scenes featuring a creative use of marquee lights, a hand-made driftwood ceremony arch decorated with succulents (driftwood gathered and assembled by our designer, Katie…) Seabrook’s cutie-pie cruiser bikes, a stop for ice cream, ribbon accessories, shimmery bridesmaid dresses, and an interior set-up featuring touches of real coral, chevron-patterned invitations, lush floral arrangements, and gold accents. And that is just the tip of the iceberg.
