Classic Washington DC Wedding

No matter how many modern, rustic or whimsical weddings I swoon, I’ll always be a classics girl at heart. And this DC affair from Marta Locklear reminds me exactly why. From the light-as-air Vera Wang to Holly Chapple’s blush-toned florals, to the reception design by Cherry Blossom Events dripping with elegance, it’s the definition of “classic” and I heart every last inch. Pore over the pretty in the gallery right here.

From Marta Locklear… Kendall & Luke’s wedding was a stunning swirl of blush, taupe, ivory, gray and champagne. Escorted by a top hat cladded driver in a classic Rolls Royce to get married at the ever so traditional Holy Trinity Church in Georgetown. Kendall practically floated down the isle in her ivory and taupe ruched Vera Wang Gown, cathedral veil and nude Valentino shoes.

After the wedding the bridal party boarded a trolly to venture to the Washington, DC monuments for some portraits and then off to the National Museum of Women in the Arts for their reception. The reception was adorned with mercury glass vases filled with arrangements by none other than the very talented Holly Chapple florist. A live band, food stations that varied from elaborate Chinese take out, to southern home cooking, and choreographed toasts that brought belly laughs out of the entire venue filled the air around Kendall and Luke with the long time love that they share.
