1920s Inspired Healdsburg Wedding

There are some weddings that grace the pages of SMP that stick with me forever, and after pouring through all these breathtaking images from Scott Andrew Studio it’s safe to say this 1920’s inspired beauty will be one of them. And although I wish I could point to one thing that makes it perfect, I’m pretty sure it’s the combination of lovely that is really make my heart flutter this afternoon. See all the pretty whipped up by Enjoy Events Co. right here.

From Enjoy Events Co. …Lindsay and Josh approached us with the 1920’s concept from the get go. Lindsay had that artistic, spunky spirit so we knew we were a match made in heaven. Although unplanned, the Great Gatsby movie was due out in theaters that very month – and their guests were beyond excited. While we didn’t want to replicate an already hyped up concept – we dug a little deeper to find out what made Lindsay and Josh really tick. What items did they love in their home? What did they love to do? Lindsay, an incredible artist herself, didn’t have to do much explaining – her love for the natural world and the artifacts around her were the perfect launching point for the combined concept…”Great Gatsby meets natural curiosity.” And, so enter the wedding (and darling couple) that started our wedding season off with a bang!

Their wedding was held in picturesque Healdsburg, California on the family’s private home. Construction began on the property months prior creating the perfect canvas for such an event. A straight vertical hill was transformed into a stunning ceremony location and a once barren meadow created the platform for the breathtaking reception tent. It was there that guests would feast on a divine meal from Sage Catering, drink specialty cocktails from the fellas of Pharmacie LA, and dance the night away to a 6-piece band and crooner dressed in a white tux.

Lindsay and Josh pulled up to their reception in an authentic 1927 Stutz Limousine where tables, adorned in elegant wild florals designed by Shotgun Floral Studio, overlooked the exquisite view that is Wine Country. Guests were dressed to the nines and Lindsay received oo’s and aww’s from the crowd with her stunning Jenny Packham wedding dress. Eclectic finds from Found Vintage Rentals, curious elements from the masters of apothecary and taxonomy, Paxton Gate, along with flatware and glassware from Casa de Perrin transformed the space and tied in some of that 1920’s flavor. The evening came to a close with quite an epic finale – as everyone danced under a shower of confetti, the sky lit up with a surprise fireworks show that left the couple and all their guests speechless.
