Popponessett Inn Wedding

As much as I’m all for snowmen and snowflakes and snowy evenings spent by the fireplace this time of the year, there is just something so refreshing about a beach wedding right now, especially when it is as gorgeous as this one from Jenny Moloney Photography. The hint of fresh, warm, salty air in every romantic detail is just the perfect momentary escape, and then it’s back to the hot chocolate agenda.

Such a stunning film from Paperweight Films!

From the beautiful bride… Andrew and I met at South Station in Boston while we were waiting in line to board a seemingly inevitably delayed Mega Bus to New York City. I boarded the bus first and claimed a coveted window seat. When Andrew boarded the bus a few minutes later he asked if he could sit next to me, and luckily I said yes! We hit it off right away once we realized that we both went to the University of Colorado in Boulder. I have to admit at one point I was worried we would run out of things to say because that is a long bus ride on a Friday at rush hour, but we never did, we talked and laughed for the entire six hour bus ride. When we arrived in NYC he asked for my number.

A couple of months later we met up for drinks in Boston and shortly after that began spending all of our free time together. Andrew proposed two years later on the beach at my family’s house on Cape Cod, which meant the world to me because it has been a special place for my family for many generations and has witnessed many generations of love stories. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect place for the beginning of our lives together as a family to start.

We knew right away that we wanted to get married on the Cape, somewhere by the water. We both wanted to have a wedding that was really personal to us, elegant, yet relaxed and fun with our families and closest friends. June 29th was the best day of our lives! We had an amazing time celebrating our love with friends and family and were even able to sneak out onto the beach for a photo shoot with our feet in the sand, and the Cape wind blowing in off the water. We are forever grateful to all of the amazing vendors we worked with to create and capture our day, especially Jenny Moloney Photography and Paperweight Films!
