Tented Charleston, South Carolina Wedding

Oh Charleston. You tug at my heartstrings more than you even realize, and a big part of that is because of Engaging Events. The planners + designers behind beautiful days like this one, captured by MCG Photography, I am completely head over heels for Charleston and it’s all down to them.

From the beautiful bride… Laura and Walsh married April 13, 2013. They met at Furman’s freshman year orientation. Laura had a feeling. She went on to law school and he to medical school. They reconnected and in 2012 Walsh proposed on the Charleston shore. Both of their families were united to celebrate when they reached land.

Style. Southern, soft, romantic. Navy and gray.

Bridesmaids dressed in navy were a perfect contrast to Laura’s coloring and delicate look.

The men were sporting James Bond (007) attire and attitude. Walsh and his brothers brought the laughter and play in with their dance moves during the reception.

Venue highlights: Oyster tabby patio, House sitting on the shore of the Ashley River, Oak trees, dock, curving staircase, TENT: charcoal pongee fabric swags in ceiling of tent, Crystal Chandeliers, white sofas

Food. Lots of it…
