This is the kind of wedding that makes you feel like you are on vacation from the comfort of your very own home. The sort of celebration that you can sort of soak into; like you can almost taste that crisp, cool mountain air and smell the pine cones. It’s just that good, people. And when you add in the planning expertise of Doreen Winking and an entire gallery of lovely captured by Birgit Hart, it’s more than just a wedding… it’s paradise “I do’s” to the extreme. From Birgit Hart… Planning a summer wedding in the mountains at 1500 Meter (5000 ft) is like a box of chocolates… you never know what you’re going to get – AND looking at the weather forecast that says 15 degrees Celsius (59 degrees fahrenheit) and rain: a bit frustrating. But then, waking up to a beautiful blue sky and a gorgeous summer day: overwhelming! This is what happened to Sonja & Stephan this summer.
The wedding ceremony took place in a breathtaking surrounding in the heart of the Austrian Alps. The guests had the chance to either arrive at the Alm by a chair lift or by a minibus (which was probably the more adventurous option).
The bride’s styling, her dress, the flowers, the stationery, the overall setting- everything fit perfectly and I loved the bride’s red hair and her beautiful complexion!
Shortly after we finished our portrait session in the evening, it started raining cats and dogs, but this made it even more cozy inside the beautiful Steinbock Alm.
