San Antonio Engagement from May Carlson Fine Art Photography

This couple is adorable in ways I didn’t know were possible.  They’re fabulously stylish (seriously… look at them), literally glow in front of the camera and the true love they are feeling for one another?  It’s palpable.  This, my loves, is engagement session perfection happening right here, right now on SMP.  See it all captured by May Carlson in the full gallery.

From May Carlson Fine Art Photography… I met Ilianna and Andy last year when I was photographing their friend’s wedding. We all realized we shared the same passion for art and film photography, so naturally I was thrilled when they announced their engagement and asked me to be a part of the journey!

We knew their engagement session would be a perfect way to show off their love, excitement, and individual style! Ilianna loved all the natural bohemian styled photos we went through for inspiration. We wanted to give their engagement shoot a little more warmth and rich color. One of Ilianna’s favorite colors is orange, so I knew the orange ranunculus would be a perfect fit amongst some large white dahlias and wax flowers. The orange hues worked as a beautiful compliment to Ilianna’s soft gray and purple gown. Their engagement session was photographed 100% on film and was shot at the beautiful Phil Hardberger Park in San Antonio on a recent fall afternoon.

They met in high school and reconnected in college at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. They carried on a three-and-a-half year long courtship before Andy asked Ilianna to be his wife on September 29th, 2013.

I am so honored that they asked me to capture all the priceless moments as they unite in marriage on March 8th, 2014 outside of their hometown in Comfort, Texas. They plan on moving to Kansas shortly after their wedding where Andy plans to attend grad school.
