I’m a cold weather girl through and through so these frigid temps are like music to my bones, but today’s wedding in Turks and Caicos has me wondering if I’ve got it all backwards. The beach is so beautiful, the colors so vibrant, and the drinks are so deserving of an umbrella that I am craving some sand, some love, and a pretty party planned by the super talented Ever Swoon. R Wagner Photography, you might have the best job ever, if this wedding has anything to say about it!
From the bride… My husband and I have always dreamed about having a destination wedding and the Gansevoort Turks and Caicos offered the perfect backdrop for our weekend long celebration. We chose the Gansevoort on recommendation from our incredible wedding planner, Tamra, of EverSwoon. The gansevoort immediately stood out to us as a beautifully modern yet intimate setting for our fifty guests. We wanted to accentuate the natural tropical beauty of the resort by using fuchsia, pops of green and metallic gold as our color palette. We chose to use only locally grown bouganvillea for our centerpieces and forwent table cloths in favor of natural wood tables complimented by gold sequin runners and gold chiavari chairs. Lights wrapped on palm trees surrounding the tables and plenty of candles scattered throughout created a gorgeous setting for dinner and dancing under the stars. To end the night, we surprised out guests by leading then down to the beach for fireworks, sparklers, and a bonfire – an amazing end to a weekend in paradise and undoubtedly the happiest day of our lives.
