Gladstone, Queensland, Australia Wedding from Kellie Blinco Photography

I’ve professed my love for Australian weddings a time or two on this little ol’blog, but how could I not when we get to feature weddings like this one from Kellie Blinco Photography? Filled with gorgeous light and perfectly placed details, it’s impossible to not be in love with every image sitting in this gallery. See them all here.

From Kellie Blinco Photography..Sarah and Todd’s Wedding started in Gladstone Qld – where the couple had chosen to get married in at Star of the sea church. Sarah had her dress made by the Mother of one of her bridesmaids – who was up til 4am the morning of the wedding making finishing touches. Sarah told me the French Lace for her dress was the same as Princess Kates.

Sarah’s Dad owns a yellow combi – and he loves them – so the wedding cars were Combi’s which really suited the wedding. The reception was held at Cedar Galleries – an artists village, near Calliope QLD. The reception was all handmade and set up by their good friend.

From the Bride…

What was the best part of the day?

All of it! There were so many special moments throughout the day and memories that we will cherish forever.

How did you feel when you put your dress on?

Putting the dress on was like something out of a fairytale. One of my bridesmaids mother is a designer and made my dress from exquisite satins and French lace. The wedding day was the first time I wore the dress complete. I had many fittings with the dress in pieces but as it was such a delicate dress, the final touches could only be made half an hour before the wedding ceremony.

What went through your mind as you walked towards Todd, to say your I Do’s?

I was actually hoping I wasn’t too late! Then I paused, took a deep breath, looked around and took in what was about to happen. It was a beautiful moment.

What was the most special part of the wedding day?

We had too many special moments to name just one. The ceremony was intimate, the reception was fun and we had many laughs throughout the day. Walking down the aisle (as mentioned above) and walking in to the reception venue (Cedar Galleries Art & Craft Village). A lot of effort and collaboration went in to the styling of our wedding day and the way it looked just took my breath away; I couldn’t have been happier with it. Thanks must go to Aleisha from Pretty My Love for her inspiration, guidance and patience with me, and to a girlfriend, Megan, and sister-in-law Alanna, for making our reception magical.
