From the minute Leigh and I were engaged we knew Italy was where we were going to be married. We spent our first real vacation together as a couple in Italy and were drawn in by the food, wine, and beauty of it so we knew it was a perfect fit. I am from the US and Leigh from England so the idea of bringing together all of our friends and family from all parts of the world to a villa in Italy was just incredible.

While surfing wedding websites I found Brenda and Italia Celebrations. From the first moment I made contact I knew that Brenda would be the perfect person to make our dreams of an Italian wedding come true. She and I are both from the Midwest and her easy going, no-nonsense style just felt like the right fit for us. We got along instantly.

We wanted our wedding weekend to be in Tuscany overlooking the rolling hills and for all of our guests to stay together in the same place. She found the most charming, welcoming villa for us there; it was the ideal backdrop to three days of celebrations. And celebrate we did. We hosted an outdoor pizza party the first evening when guests arrived, a winery tour and wine tasting during the second day and for the second night a Tuscan barbeque.

We wanted our wedding to be filled with Italian traditions but also to inject a bit of us as well. Our ceremony was held in Italian on the lawn overlooking the Tuscan hills; afterwards our guests threw pasta and petals instead of rice as we walked down the aisle. Our colors were shades of pink with splashes of turquoise in the ribbons and printed paper. Brenda suggested hanging a variety of chandeliers in the trees over the two long family style tables where we had the wedding dinner to turn it into an enchanted garden. The effect was truly breathtaking and like nothing we or any of our guests had ever seen, it was just magical. The Italian dinner provided by the villa was amazing and the rest of the evening was spent dancing and drinking in all Italy had to offer.

We couldn’t be happier with that weekend and every time we see our guests from our wedding they are still talking about it, reliving each minute of the magical three days we spent together. I actually got tears in my eyes when it came time to leave Casabianca and say good-bye to Brenda. The whole weekend and wedding was more than we had hoped for, and working with Brenda was one of the best parts. Italy was the best place to start our new lives together.
