Confession time: I’ve been a little obsessed with Jenny Packham since maybe forever. Her gowns are like walking works of art, and when I got the chance to attend not JUST her runway show, but head backstage for all the pre-show frenzy. Well, I almost died.
But that’s only the tip of the iceberg, my friends. You see, while all models, makeup and last-minute walk-through commotion was happening, I spotted Jenny herself walking around, looking calm as can be. So what do I do? Swallow my nerves, went up to introduce myself, and we chatted for a second about blog world and SMP. After a quick photo op, she was whisked away, and then….it was show time.
As cool as I thought backstage was, the show was EVEN better. I’m talking a sleek industrial space decked out with twinkling trees and a far-away woodland feel. Basically the perfect setting for Jenny’s whimsical designs. It was a collection filled with flowing silhouettes, sparkling embellishments and those delicate details we know and love her for. So brides of 2014, let the dress swoon begin!
Seriously, does it get any more stunning?! Jenny Packham, you’ve officially done it again.
