There’s really no place on earth that could compare to marrying at the Sydney Opera House — it’s an icon. So when these two sweeties found themselves swapping vows at maybe the coolest venue EVER, it was a given their wedding would rock. The bride Jessie, loves pink, so the wedding was filled with lots of pastel shades of pink, from bridesmaids dresses, through to flowers, lolly station and reception decorations. The theme of the wedding was to be like a fairy tale with lots of pink pastels and shimmers. The bridal gown was a fairytale full gown of embroidered motifs and tulle. Beading and lace cinches the bodice from the bust through to the knee with a full hemline of tulle.
The bouquet was a round natural stem posy with a pretty mix of pink, mauve and some ivory roses with touches of dusty miller. The stem was wrapped in ivory lace, satin and pearl pins and a bow.
The two-tiered wedding cake had dusty pink icing in a shimmer finish. The middle and bottom layers had a stencil pattern in rose chic. Top tier bears piped scallop beading with crystal trimmings. Each tier was then decorated with sugar flowers or camellia and roses in pink.
The ceremony took place outside the Sydney Opera house under a rose archway with the backdrop of the harbour bridge. The reception was held at the Opera Point Marquee. Although the day started with miserable weather, it cleared up at 3pm allowing for the outdoor ceremony to take place!
Jessie and Ben met prior to the ceremony to have their location shoot allowing them to be with their guests straight after the ceremony! Many family and friends travelled from overseas – USA, China, and Singapore to attend.
