From the Bride… The feeling David and I were going for was vintage and intimate. We wanted unique touches throughout the weekend but most of all we wanted out guests to feel special and appreciated. We threw in a great welcome party with free flowing margaritas to really introduce our guests to the amazing town of Sayulita. We finished the weekend off with an amazing firework show over the bay as Mr and Mrs with an amazing group of supporters around us.

I know that Yazmin had all of the table linens custom made, along with the custom orchid draped arbor we were married under, and all decor she sought out from all over Mexico just for our wedding. She custom made the napkins, menu card and table numbers with custom paper to match the custom linens. She swagged white linen around the edge of the palapa which added so much. Also we had a great lounge area with Edison lights strung across for ambience. We asked the guests to write well wishes on paper hearts we cut out and have used to make a piece of art in our home.

One of my favorite things was my garter – my aunt made it out of the silk and satin from my late paternal grandmother and great-grandmother’s vintage hand gloves. On the inside she embroidered in blue, K + D and our wedding date, 3.24.12 — I also carried my great grandmother’s pearl hand bag from 1939. David wore his late maternal grandmother’s bracelet.
