From Kirra Cheers… In 2010, I photographed Sophie’s wedding in Sorrento. She had two bridesmaids; Karli & Kate. The next year I photographed Karli’s wedding in St Kilda, in 2012 I photographed two close friends of theirs, Jess & Alesha and in 2013 it was Kate’s turn to marry the man of her dreams, John.
I feel like we have come a full circle. Sophie & Dan’s beautiful children are growing up, Karlie & Brad have a young family of their own and Kate & John have settled back into Melbourne to start a life together.
Each time I work with the girls, I get to know them a little better. It is so nice to see their lives play out and to be a part of such a special day of their journey. With each wedding their are a few more familiar faces and I always think it feels a bit like a reunion.
I was so excited to photograph Kate’s wedding. Kate was so relaxed and it was an absolute pleasure to capture her special day with John. I wish them both the very best for their married life together.
