There isn’t a single image from Ashley Dang sitting in this gallery that I don’t adore. Not a single one. It’s probably because this wedding is simply perfection. From the Bride’s gorgeous Saja Wedding gown to the breathtaking florals from Primal Flower to the stunning space of the Liberty Art Gallery – it’s enough to make this wedding blogger stop in her tracks. From Ashley Dang… It all started with a vintage comic book postcard that Terry, the groom found earlier in his youth years. He’s been collecting rare comic books and memorabilia ever since. I met Vanessa, the bride one evening over coffee and we just naturally clicked. She described her wedding to be a modern twist to a vintage 1920’s theme. By modern she wanted all the design details to be simple and minimal. She specifically chose the Liberty Art Gallery in Long Beach so she could have a clean white backdrop as her venue. The couple incorporated all of their family heirlooms and collectables as part of their wedding which made for a very personal wedding experience for all.

As the couple got ready at their Long Beach home, I was able to use the bride’s grandmother’s antique glass serving plates as a part of the detail images. I was also able to incorporate the groom’s favorite comic book as the base for the ring shot. The bride asked Shelley from Primal Flower to add her step dad’s bee pins onto her bouquets since he is no longer here. They also used vintage frames to place their family member photos that were unable to attend the wedding and/or relatives who are no longer with them. Additionally, Terry’s favorite color is turquoise so they used that as their splash of color on his tie, her gorgeous shoes and sprinkled all over the wedding details. By incorporating the old with the new, they were able to pull off a very cohesive yet fresh look enjoyed by all.
