You know how we like to kick off the weekend? Just like this. With a drop-dead gorgeous Central Coast soiree chock-full of stunning DIY details and a bride and groom who could not be any cuter (or craftier) if they tried. That’s what we call the full wedding package and when it’s all captured by Caspix and set against a breathtaking ocean backdrop, it’s an entirely new level of awesome. See for yourself right here.
From Caspix… Ryan and Jess held the most amazing wedding by the coast. There was love everywhere in the lush hinterland at the most amazing venue, Seafarm. I have shot quite a few weddings here now and they are always just so intimate and elegant.
From the Bride… I’m not a writer, so I won’t bother trying to be fancy here, but these are some things about the wedding that made it a little bit different than most:
One of my bridesmaids was due to give birth four days after the wedding and ended up having the baby four days before the wedding. She was released from the hospital the night before the wedding and came up to the central coast for it! Unfortunately, Ryan’s dad in hospital for two weeks leading up to the wedding, as well.
It rained the entire week of the wedding and the morning of with no real wet weather backup plan.
We had our dog, Rocky, at the wedding ceremony and then he later cruised around the reception and dance floor!
The venue was really key for us, being able to have everyone in the same spot all day, guests being able to relax the moment they arrived and just enjoy themselves. The farm and the ocean and being outdoors which is a big part of who we are. We decorated the marquee and venue all ourselves the day before the wedding and everything was made by us (no suppliers for any of the stationary, bonbonnieres, or flowers, etc.).
I saw my dress in a magazine, but the picture wasn’t actually advertising the dress. I searched through thousands of Google images trying to find who the designer was. I ended up finding out it was a 2006 design that wasn’t sold anymore, so I went on another internet search to try to find a second hand version. I found one on ebay, brand new with tags, from the UK. I purchased it and had it sent over without even seeing it in person or trying it on!
