Flower Girl Fashion from Kirstie Kelly + Belathee Photography

These days, flower girls’ dresses are so much more than your run-of-the-mill tutu. They’re fun and spirited and downright girly in the sweetest of ways. So when a trio of talented ladies — Belathée PhotographyKirstie Kelly and The Bloom of Time — got together to celebrate flower girl frocks that break the mold, I knew we were in for some major, MAJOR cuteness. Oh, and as for the dresses themselves? Well, I sort of wish they came in my size.

From Belathée Photography… This little photo essay was more of a “dress up play date” for three young girlfriends than an art directed fashion shoot. That’s when one gets true emotion and interaction and photos that express more than a catalogue ever can.

All we had to do is select beautiful settings ( we shot this in Southern California) and the rest unfolded by itself.. from role play and giggles to proud posing. Something happens when you slip into a beautiful dress, even at this age. Kirstie has such a great variety of dresses and each one had its own feel and personality.

It brought us a great amount of joy to be able to capture this spirit in photographs and the stunning flowerpieces by Adrienne made the little outfits complete. She matched each dress with a unique “crown” or complementary bouquet.
