If you met me for even a minute, you would probably know that a shoot like this one captured by Eva Derrick Photography speaks all my love languages. Coastal, the perfect amount of prepster, and stylish as all get out - it simply doesn't get better to little ol' me. Throw in a delicious (in every sense of the word) dessert table from Candy by Katie and gorgeous florals from Lush Florals...and ladies and gentlemen, I can't help but surrender to this shoot. See why here.
From...In coming to create a style for this shoot we started with a theme. The goal was to incorporate nautical elements that would create a Hamptons vibe. We envisioned a seaside event blending a casual setting with preppy attire to achieve the perfect wedding.

Taking direction from the 2013 Pantone colour of the year, Emerald Green was chosen as the feature colour. Mint was incorporated into the decor as well as other shades of green to enhance the richness of the Emerald shade. Navy Blue was added to the colour palette as a simple accent to create contrast to the existing scheme.

Clean and crisp linens decorated with natural seaside elements enhanced the vision of our casual yet preppy presentation. Introducing coral, rope, seashells, wooden paddles and driftwood brought nature into the setting without going over the top. Subtle touches were the perfect testament to the fact that less is more.

In keeping with a casual theme we opted for a short dress for the bride. She looked stunning in white but would be more than able to board the sailboat after the reception to sail off on their honeymoon. The groom was kept casual but wore a bowtie to add a formal touch to his attire.
