Let’s be honest. Coming back after a nice, long weekend is always a bit of a downer. But before you start fretting over all today’s to-dos, let’s see if we can add a little merriment to your Monday with this positively dreamy mill styled shoot. Firefly Events delivered ethereal inspiration like no other, and those overflowing florals from Poppies and Posies? Be still my heart. From Firefly Events…The moment we laid eyes on this beautiful mill, in upstate New York, we knew it had to be the site for our next inspiration shoot. It’s ethereal quality and unparalleled setting had us dreaming of a romantic dinner partyesque wedding with a mix of metallics and soft blush tones. We do about one inspiration shoot a year and view them as an opportunity to flex our creative muscles and try out new ideas alongside our fellow wedding professionals. For this shoot we played around with hand stamped napkins, gold leaf painted vases, water bottles and candles, fabric menus, tied mixed metal silverware, a handmade feather veil and an oversized bouquet. We were lucky enough to work with the extremely talent Trent Bailey of Trent Bailey Photography who manages to capture each moment as if it’s a fairytale. Given the ethereal nature of Salvato Mill and the DIYs we crafted we knew Trent would be the perfect fit. The lovely ladies of Poppies and Posies were another obvious choice as they create some of the most beautiful florals the wedding industry has to offer (and no one does an oversized bouquet quite like them!) We were also lucky enough to have Megan from Hello Super Studios, on board to capture all the fun on video!
