Carnival Engagement Session from Kevin Trowbridge Photography

Canadian engagement sessions are amazing – that’s a little fact that we can all agree upon.  But when you add in a fab carnival setting, some yummy cotton candy and a beyond stunning duo with an impeccable sense of style, it kicks that “amazing” up a notch.  Amazing to crazy amazing, if you will.  Add in one image after another chock-full of pretty captured by Kevin Trowbridge Photography and, well.  Happy Friday to you and me.  See it all in the full gallery.

From Kevin Trowbridge Photography… May and Eric are from Vancouver, British Columbia and are getting married in Kelowna, British Columbia on August 23rd, 2013 at Summerhill Winery.  May is a teacher and Eric is an investment advisor.  Eric surprised May with a rockstar proposal were he secretly planned a helicopter to fly them into beautiful Widgeon Creek, British Columbia where he proposed! Whereas, Eric is super laid-back, May is incredibly energetic and they wanted an engagement session that was fun, romantic, and showed off their unique style.

During our Skype meeting with May and Eric, we immediately thought that the local carnival that rolls into town would be perfect for their engagement session.  We were so excited to find out they loved the idea!  Although the carnival didn’t have a Ferris wheel or carousel (sad face), we had such a fun time meandering around the fairgrounds and using the bright colours that seem to explode at every turn.  We loved all the old rides and discovered that the Zipper was truly vintage and has been with the carnival since the 60’s!  Woah!  May and Eric were pros amidst the chaos of a busy Saturday evening at the carnival.  We love the images and adored their vintage inspired outfits too – check out Eric’s super cool suspenders and May’s stunning shoes!
