From Isari Flower Studio + Event DesignSpending a sunny afternoon amidst the panoramic rolling hills, kissed with soft sunshine endless fields of humming bees hunting for lavender honey just could not get any better! That’s the magic of Keys Creek Lavender Farm. One spring day where it was marine hazed on the coast, chills in the air with thick fog banks enveloping our crystal coastline  we embarked on our fun adventure, we all drove up into the hills up north, passed Escondido into Valley Center. Once there we find ourselves transported to this magnificent rolling hills of Provence in the South of France (without really having to travel that far on a plane, getting through customs and TSA shenanigans).

The sublime lights, the vast blue sky, the fresh mountain air, the floral perfumed pastures, and even the happy Californian cows grazing, how picturesque was this trip going to be?  With cars loaded with flowers, mini desserts, chairs, tables, props, makeup and hair utensils, cameras, cast and crew, dress and outfits and bags of laughters and great attitudes to set up our temporary camp at Keys Creek bridal cottage. Keys Creek is located on a perch up above with lavender fields below and endless rows of sweet scented lavenders, and honey bees buzzing in the warm air.

It’s a real working Lavender Farm where they distill essence and produce many signature products to sell. The quaint and private location offers a rustic charm, amidst rural panoramic heaven. The main venue is where ceremony and dinner alfresco area under the canopy of trees offers a sprawling vista below, an upper terrace with a pool area is where cocktail is usually served. There’s a sweet bridal cottage surrounded with rambling flower vines on the far end of the property as a getting ready room as well as the  honeymoon suite. The ceiling is strung with bunches of charming bundles of dried lavender clusters.

The dress we selected for our lovely bride is from Bliss Bridal Salon in Del Mar, the lace capped Claire Pettibone is a stunner on her tall slim body. The hair and makeup team by Beauti-on-the-go help give our girl a charcoal smudge on her eyes fresh off the runway, from the new Fall Prada show 2013 makeup look, natural lips fresh and young in keeping with sweet and sultry vibe. We styled our handsome groom with a simple timeless grey suit from a better deal tux rental.

The rental mise en place infuse a vintage note, thanks to Hostess Heaven for supplying us with her goodies! We love the pale pink plates that coordinate with the footed glass against  the gold rimmed scallop white base plates and leaf motif water glasses. The sweet, little garden chairs were provided to us by Archive Rentals.  The florals were kept gardeny, loose and naturally effortless. Spring shade blooms in a footed oval turrine, gloriously filled with sweet pea, tulips, lupines, jasmine vines, roses, hyacinth, anemones, ranunculus, drooping lady’s earrings of fushia and lavender. Her bouquet was also in the same inspiration of lush and full, cascading with trailing jasmine vines.

The delicious dessert station was styled on whitewashed Farm Tables and More, utilizing plates from Hostess Heaven, combined with our inventory of cake platters and risers. Eva from Wicked Spoon whipped up Raspberry Pate de Fruit, Pear Frangipane Tarts, Apricot Friands, Pistachio Mille Feuille, Rosewater Eclairs,Lemon Cream Pots, Strawberry Meringue Nests and Lavender Lollipops. The tags and invitation were also inspired by the hazey lavender shade infuse with soft pinks, in an ombre, cloud-like design by Alchemy Fine Events and Invitation.

Ryan at Cloudless came along to document all that went on  behind the scene and the story unfolding footage on his VDO, in an artistic fashion! Capturing the love birds and every fine detail, Paula at Luna Photography never cease to amaze us with her point of view through her magical viewfinder lens and life’s perspective that leaves us astounded with her gift of talent and artistic approach!
