From Cathrin D’Entremont Weddings…When Fiona and Stuart first contacted me in May 2012 they found it difficult in organizing their wedding living in Singapore. They wanted their wedding at a beautiful vineyard in Margaret River under the stars. Voyager Estate was the perfect match with their pristine landscaped gardens and award winning food to please anyone’s senses. With the Groom from England, Fiona from Queensland Australia, they wanted to infuse the 3 countries into their wedding theme. Fiona had found in Singapore some beautiful fabric in the colours of dark blue, coral flowers and a white dragon. Unfortunately she had only managed to secure 6 m of this beautiful fabric and I had my challenges set. We now started to send the fabric back and forth with the finished creations. Fiona’s Mum who is living in Queensland cut and glued the fabric to fit the lampshades and made all the bags to hold the rock candy which were favours for the guests. I wanted to set off the cake table with the beautiful fabric. So I created the large wooden box and sewed a cover for the box for the cake to be placed on. I just had enough fabric left to define the bride and groom chairs and sewed a small sleeve to go over the top of the tiffany chair. Natalie from Zinnia Floral Design created the elegant finishing touches with her beautiful flowers in silver urns and with the right amount of candles. Masses of fairy lights in the trees, columns and walls gave the right amount of lighting to create the perfect ambiance for the guests to dance the night away…..
