Brooklet, New South Wales Wedding from Hannah Millerick

Some ladies are just lucky all around, and this beauty of a Bride sitting pretty in all these images from Hannah Millerick definitely falls in that category. Not only is she drop dead gorgeous, and tied the knot to one handsome hubby, she got to do so in serious style. It doesn’t hurt her family and friends that helped pull this gorgeous day together just happen to be one talented bunch, making for a wedding that is not only stunning, but meaningful as well. It doesn’t get much luckier than that. See it all here.

From the Bride… Our wedding was held on Saturday 16th, March 2013 at Incatrole, a private property in Brooklet situated in the Byron Hinterland. It is a fabulous villa that was designed and built by the Australian Artist Ken Johnston. It is a mix of Balinese, Indian and Morroccan design. It was a magical place and it felt like an overseas destination. The wedding was a beautiful, relaxed, romantic and joyous day celebrating our love and commitment.

The traditional fruit wedding cake was baked and decorated by Chris’ Grandmother, Mother and Sister. It was absolutely delicious, not surprising given the women are amazing cooks. The table setting, by the Bride’s Mother (who is a textile designer and incredibly creative) was stunning and elegant, yet simple– with beautiful flower arrangements. Chris’ sister Caroline is an interior decorator and she had the very clever idea of using Scrabble tiles as the place settings. Both sets of families are very keen Scrabble enthusiasts – so it was very fitting.

With such a creative bunch of women {Henrietta is a fashion stylist, her Mother is a textile designer and Chris’s sister is an Interior decorator} it made sense to do the flowers themselves. Much fun was had putting together the bouquet. A real bonding moment for all the women of both families.

Our guests enjoyed croquet on the lawn after the ceremony whilst enjoying champagne and delicious canapés by Eat Drink. It created such merriment and laughter. Plus it kept the guests entertained while on location shooting with Hannah Millerick. After dinner and all the speeches they played a very raucous board game of Articulate around the dining table- the perfect and very family way of ending the day.
