Whimsical Wedding Inspiration from {Poppy & Plum Events}

I’ve never really had a sweet tooth.  I can walk past a plate of donuts and cookies all day long, but give me some french fries and ranch and I can’t look away.  The one exception?  Cotton candy.  I love that bundle of sugary sweetness with a crazy passion, i.e., I’ll stop at every fair and carnival along my route home to stock up on bags of blue and pink goodness.  I am not kidding.  So, when I spotted this beautiful shoot from the geniuses at {Poppy & Plum Events}, an ode to all things cotton candy, I could barely contain my excitement.  It’s the perfect marriage of pretty pink yumminess, gorgeous florals from La Petite Fleur and breathtaking imagery from Ryon:Lockhart Photography.  See it all right here.

Whimsical

From {Poppy & Plum Events}… This is a styled photo shoot that we designed in collaboration with several vendors in November 2012. The theme was cotton and cotton candy. We used a lot of cotton in the florals (i.e, boutounniere, bouquet, centerpieces, and floral wreaths). We also used a lot of cotton candy elements (actual cotton candy, cotton candy marshmallows) and incorporated the colors of cotton candy (shades of pink) and the textures (cloud light chandelier). We held the shoot in the backyard of a private residence that was slightly overgrown to give it a very natural feel. We hope you enjoy it!
