Modern Austin Wedding Inspiration from Studio Uma

Modern and minimal. Not for everyone. No lace and peonies, no burlap and mason jars. But even if modern and minimal isn’t your normal jam, warm up your vocal cords, because this shoot from Studio Uma is going to have you singing a whole different tune. It’s the kind of simple pretty that anyone can not only appreciate, but also fall in love with. Still not convinced you’re the modern type? This gallery is all the convincing you need.

From the photographer … I’m so excited to share this wedding inspiration photo shoot I put together with a team of incredibly talented creatives here in Austin.

With the abundance of vintage/rustic inspiration right now, I was interested in exploring a completely different theme. The modern and minimalist architecture of the Kimber Modern boutique hotel in downtown Austin was our inspiration for fashion, makeup, tablescape, floral design etc. At the Kimber Modern you’ll see clean, elegant simple lines with a lot of white space, punctuated by small, bright pops of primary color.

Wardrobe stylist Cristina Facundo created three stunning modern looks for our bride, and two for our groom. Event designer Maureen Stevens and florist Carrie Beamer created a beautifully modern tablescape and florals.
