Philadelphia Wedding from OneLove Photography

We all collectively love this couple here at SMP. In major part because their wedding captured by onelove photography is the perfect amount of city chic and a healthy dose of gorgeous fashion; but maybe even more so for their fun, silly moments caught on camera. These two are adorable. There’s no denying it. And you can see even more of their Philadelphia shindig right here in the full gallery.

From the Bride…We have both always been attracted to vintage old-world charm and as we started to plan the wedding, a 20s/30s old Philadelphia feel seemed to just fall into place. To set the tone, we created Western Union Telegrams as save the dates and vintage world maps as invitations. We wanted the evening to feel like a dinner party from the past with wonderful food, gorgeous gypsy jazz music, some great cocktails and an overall sense of elegance and ease.

We had stumbled upon a collection of antique dictionary pages with screen printed images of vintage cars, phonographs and typewriters. We loved the idea of each table having an image instead of a number and started from there. We then combed Los Angeles flea markets for vintage frames in which we placed black and white old family photos that were to be part of the centerpieces on each table. From the antique decanters and suitcases to the brass tea kettles and mercury glass, we spent countless hours selecting items that had both history and personal meaning to us as a couple.

The more personal you can make your wedding, with touches that reflect who you are as a couple, the more meaningful the experience will be for both you and your guests. From the food and wine selections, to the hand type-writer typed invitations and vintage family photos, we felt the whole experience from start to finish reflected our style and taste. Right after the ceremony as we were walking down the aisle of the recessional, we were whisked outside to a balcony that overlooked the city. Someone guarded the door and had set up champagne and a single cocktail table in the center of the patio. We had 10 minutes alone outside together…the first moments as husband and wife and simply held each other as we looked out at the skyline. Having that private time was incredibly special and allowed us to pause and take it all in.
