We Heart Photography just made my Friday. Well, my whole weekend, really. Because this gorgeous 3 Oaks Vineyard affair? It’s the kind of wedding that just makes you happy. The sweet DIY details (I am looking at you, awesome table numbers), the soft color palette, the fabulous evening of dining under the stars (+ twinkle lights)… this is what we call heartwarming meets drop-dead gorgeous from start to finish. And the gallery? All kinds of pretty. Join me there for sooo much more. Seriously.
From the Bride… We are the classic high school sweethearts. We met when we were 16 and have been inseparable ever since. Our love story is defined by our friendship and built around the Lord.
The inspiration for our wedding was based on things we already loved; we really wanted the details and the day in general to reflect our personalities. I loved the simplicity of having almost all white décor in the flowers and fabrics and pairing it with wood pieces and various metallic touches. It all created an eclectic yet rustic-romantic feel which in the end was exactly what we had imagined for our wedding.
We wanted a personal touch on the wedding, and luckily we had lots of people around us that contributed their ideas and hands in creating our various DIY projects. Some of our favorites included the ceremony programs, the table numbers made with just nails and slabs of wood, the seating place cards and the jute balls that were extremely messy to make!
From the Groom… My favorite moment was watching my bride walk down the aisle. Everything else disappeared at that moment and all I could see was her. From the Bride… My favorite moment was the same. I felt such pure joy walking down the aisle knowing that Jeremy and I would soon commit our lives to one another. But I must admit the whole day wrapped into one large favorite moment for me. Having all of our loved ones gather in the same place and share in our happiness was the biggest blessing and encompassed some of my favorite moments of my life to date.
My advice for future brides is to remember that the day will go by incredibly fast so be sure to soak up as much as you can and relish in each moment. Just forget about those little details that had plagued you for weeks (you most likely won’t notice them anyway) and enjoy the bigger and more important details of your wedding day.
