From Rustic White PhotographyHoneymoon Island was the perfect backdrop for this simple and elegant beach bridal styled session shot in Dunedin, Florida.

In “The 4-Hour Chef,” author Tim Ferris talks a lot about simplify, simplify, simplify.  He uses cooking as the vehicle to share his belief in breaking down any venture into it’s most simple elements, and describes when learning how to cook you need to separate out ingredients and taste them individually to better understand their complexities and strengths.  Through all of his books Tim shares the common held belief of less is more.  With “The 4-Hour Chef” Tim talks of how people often tend to over-season in the belief that more is better, but sometimes all you need is a drizzle of olive oil or a squeeze of lemon to allow the beauty of the flavors that are already there to shine through.

This was our thought process when collaborating with FH Weddings, Malindy Elene, and Michele Renee for this beach inspired bridal shoot.  We wanted to strip away any excess and allow the organic beauty of the blue water and white pebbled beach to simply accent the details and highlight the strong, beautiful features of our model.

We quite simply wanted to simplify.  Separate out the components and allow the beauty of each to stand and be seen for how lovely it can truly be.  The graceful overlays of a fishtail braid.  The light and timeless feel of an Ivy & Aster gown.  The fresh and enticing feel of a Delphinium Daffodil bouquet against a sea of white pebbled stone.  There is so much beauty in each of these components that until you take the time to see how beautiful each one is on it’s own you are simply standing in the kitchen and running the risk of over-seasoning.

From FH Weddings & Events… If loveliness could wash up on the beach this is what you would find…

Our antique rustic white loveseat and side chair along with a custom made driftwood coffee table.  Large pieces of driftwood dripping with pure white orchids and a touches of blue Delphinium.  The brides bouquet has blue Delphinium, Daffodils and gold Brunia Berries.
