Wine Country Wedding from Images By Lori

Just the mere mention of the words “California wine country” and your mind automatically drifts to thoughts of drop-dead gorgeous scenery and cozy moments sipping on the world’s most amazing wine. You just can’t help it.  And when you add the word “wedding” to the mix, well, that’s an entirely new level of daydreaming.  Especially when that wedding is an intimate meets rustic soiree held at the breathtaking Murrieta’s Well Winery and is captured in beautiful images by Lori Huneke.  That’s a day that deserves more than its fair share of swooning and you can start right now in the full gallery.

From the Bride… My fiancé and I decided on a smaller wedding and wanted a more intimate feel, that’s when we came across Murrieta’s Well winery in our home town of Livermore. I was beautiful, rustic, a little country and very romantic! Murrieta’s Well is owned and operated by Wente vineyards which has a great reputation for food and wine. Since my Fiancé and I paid for the wedding ourselves we had to stick to a pretty strict budget. We had all of the quality and reputation that Wente has to offer (their chefs do all the food and pastry), but on a smaller more intimate scale.

The year leading up to the wedding I spent most of my time at antique fairs and estate sells hunting down vintage keys, silver plate candle sticks, mason jars, lace and chalk boards. A girlfriend of mine and I made all the place cards from craft paper tags off Etsy and the vintage keys that I had collected. My florist took all the mason jars and wrapped them with lace and pearl beading which she used as the centerpieces. She then created the most beautiful arch out of burlap and hydrangeas with baby’s breath and roses. I had purchased large lanterns that she placed cascading flowers down and flanked the arch with. My aunt lent me her vintage silver plate forks which we served the cake with. I also ordered table runners of Etsy that where burlap with lace trim, as well as the cake topper, and the cake cutter.

Every one raved about all the little details, and how elegant the night turned out. I can’t thank Images by Lori enough for the beautiful pictures. Lori was exactly what I was looking for in a photographer, her pictures had this great soft vintage feel and she was so nice and down to earth. I couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful evening!
