From BKB Photography… When it came to choosing a wedding location for Avni and Vishal, Newport, Rhode Island was an easy decision. While currently residing in NYC, both are East Coast natives. A wedding in Newport would not only be a central locale for family and friends, but would also serve as a destination wedding, as the beautiful coastal town would be the perfect spot for not only nuptials, but a mini-vacation!
Avni and Vishal’s three day wedding affair began at the Hotel Viking and concluded at the luxurious Belle Mer, both in Newport, Rhode Island. Belle Mer is perfect because it combines the traditional New England oceanside wedding with beautiful modern interiors. It’s no surprise Belle Mer hosts some of the most beautiful weddings around!
The couple hired wedding planners Gracie Lou Events to coordinate every detail from their henna party and hookah lounge down to the gorgeous over-the-top wedding reception that was, in one word, stunning! The ceremony was hosted with white garden chairs and a modern Indian custom made mandap alter and dripping in lush florals by Semia. Rentals Unlimited brought in gorgeous white linens that had just enough texture to compliment the sexy vibe of the room perfectly. A desert station by Cookie Creatives was set up at the end of the night for guests to enjoy a “midnight snack.”
Portraits of the family were captured on the lawns of the venue. Some of my most cherished images captured Avni and her mother sharing a moment just before ceremony. The couple wed during Columbus Day weekend. It was truly a spectacular event.
