From Sutherland Kovach Studio… Rebecca and Mat decided to fly to Rebecca’s hometown of Auckland, New Zealand for a summery wedding in December at the gorgeous Mantells of Mt Eden. They chose to do a first look before the actual ceremony to maximize their time with their photographers and their guests. Mat waited for Rebecca on a secluded beach, with an amazing view of Auckland’s renowned Rangitoto Island. At the wedding venue guests mingled to sweet sounds of jazz music and sipped on special concoctions of sentimental cocktail mixes. Rebecca and Mat put a lot of thought and time into creating a wedding with details that everyone could interact with on the day. A gorgeous time capsule in the form of a vintage suitcase was created to hold a recipe for longevity and rekindling when it is opened. Guests were encouraged to write special messages at the reception and Mat and Rebecca exchanged love letters along with their vows which went into the time capsule along with their favourite wines and other treasured memories of their journey so far.
