Carmel Valley Wedding from Paper Antler

Time and time again, Carmel Valley plays backdrop to some of the most stunning weddings that come our way. And we’ve noticed a trend among many of these extra special events–they’re hosted at the lovely Holman Ranch. A true place of natural beauty, this ranch inspires the most rustic chic soirees, including this wedding snapped up by Paper Antler. It’s everything we love about an outdoor “I do,” with personal touches tucked all along the way. Click here for even more!

From the Bride…Ben and I met on our first day of college, we sat next to each other during an ice-breaking mixer.  After months of proclaiming our strictly platonic love for each other we began dating at the end of our first semester.  The foundation of our deep and playful friendship continues to saturate our life together in marriage.  He is the smartest, funniest, and most tender man I’ve ever known and I am forever changed by his presence in my life. We got married a few miles from the coast of Carmel, and we were inspired by the casual lifestyle of the California coastline.  Our color palate incorporated the colors of a misty morning by the sea, light blues, greens, and grays were woven into the day, from the decor, to my bridesmaids lovely dresses, to the grey linen ties of our groomsmen.  We wanted our entire day to feel like a casual outdoor barbecue, and we tried to eliminate every stuffy and obligatory tradition in order to make love, fun, and celebration the focal point of our ceremony and reception.
