Jen Fariello Photography makes magic. She takes a gorgeous wedding and captures it in a way that really shows off every beautiful light from the day. And when her photography is combined with the art that is Beehive Events' floral design, holy moly is it pretty. Pretty enough to spend a whole afternoon in the gallery, I think!

From the lovely bride ... Shawn and I met through mutual friends while attending Radford University. After just a few dates, we both knew we had found someone special. Two and a half years later, Shawn proposed in the middle of the Compass Rose on the White Street Pier in Key West, FL.

Since Shawn and I both have a love for Virginia wines, a vineyard seemed like the ideal venue for our wedding. The first time we visited King Family Vineyards, we knew it was the perfect place for us to say 'I Do'. Nestled right beneath the Blue Ridge Mountains, the winery provided a breathtaking backdrop for our special day.

We wanted our wedding day to be romantic, warm, and elegant with a touch of rustic. To achieve this, we used amber colored uplighting throughout the Carriage House. Iron candelabra trees were place in the center of each table surrounded by multiple arrangements of persimmons, china berry, coral and blush dahlias, smoke bush, herbs, and cream aesclepia. Additional votives were place around the table to enhance the glow in the room. Our wedding cake was a hand-painted stained glass design by Maggie Austin with alternating flavor tiers.

Our band kept our guests packed on the dance floor, only to be seated for an announcement or special moment during the wedding. Later in the evening, we surprised our guests with freshly made organic apple cider donuts and italian hot chocolate by Carpe Donut. We thanked everyone for 'beeing' there with small honey jars containing sweet wildflower honey. When the celebration ended, our guests held sparklers as we departed in our pearl white 1940's Packard limousine.

Shawn and I could not have hoped for a more perfect wedding to commemorate our love and commitment to one another and we are so grateful that so many of our closest friends and family could spend such a memorable day with us. Our journey together has just begun and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for us!
