I tend to fall head-over-heels in love with everything The Robertsons send our way, and this Canberra wedding is no exception. From the Bride… I have always been one who can’t decide on just one style so I tend to combine styles together in order to find my fit. Our wedding was Art Deco/Rustic. We wanted a wedding that was true to who we are and had our own personal hand made touches. I had always liked Mount Stromlo as a location and we wanted to have our reception at the same location as our ceremony to make things easier on the day for guests. The location made for stunning mountain views and we watched the sunset through the large glass windows of our reception room. Our photographers The Robertsons were so laid back and easy to work with – they takes the most stunning scenery shots and we knew they would do a great job of the mountain views.
We wrote our own vows and got quite emotional during the ceremony. Our wedding video was filmed by Me and My Camera and thought Danae worked so well along side our photographers. My dress was only $600 and had a small mark on it so they gave it to me for $550, I knew it was my dress as it was the only one I tried on that fit me perfectly. My flowers and Just married sign were bought from Etsy as were many other items at our wedding.
All the decorating in the reception was setup by me and my bridesmaids the night before the wedding except for a few table centre pieces. My lovely groom arrived at the ceremony an hour earlier to setup chairs and put out the aisle runner for me. We had canapés served after the ceremony and a few drinks before we went off on our photo shoot while guests enjoyed some more drinks and dinner games while they anticipated our arrival.
