From Spread Love Events… Planning a wedding from the other side of the pacific rim meant Amber and Darryl put a lot of trust into us as their planner and stylists – and we couldn’t have been more honored to be part of their amazing day! After Amber and Darryl selected Rockwater Secret Cove Resort as their destination the scene was set. Located on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia just a short ferry ride from Vancouver, this rustic resort had just the right amount of luxury and west coast charm for them and their guests who would travel from around the globe to attend. The night before the wedding Amber and Darryl hosted a causal welcome BBQ and ocean side movie night under the stars on the property. It was the perfect start to a fun-filled weekend with family and friends in a beautiful setting.
Natural elements such as the rust colour of the arbutus trees on the property to sea grasses and beach wood inspired a wedding style totally fitting for the venue and for Amber and Darryl. Handwritten chalk place cards, muslin fabric hand stamped hooray flags a driftwood plank table runner and a saltwater taffy candy bar were just a few of the special details.
The day of the wedding Amber and her bridesmaids enjoyed breakfast on her private tenthouse deck and relaxed oceanside while having their hair and make up done.
A sweet first look was arranged on the boardwalk between Amber and Darryl’s tenthouses followed by a traditional tea ceremony. Married on a perch over looking the ocean followed by dinner under the stars, it was a relaxed, fun and beautiful day filled with great friends, laughter and love!
