Daylesford Wedding at Sault Restaurant from Verve Photo Co.

I often find myself at a loss for words when it comes to Australian weddings.  I don’t know if it’s the breathtaking locations, the sweet attention to detail or the cute as can be couples that grace our pages day after day, but every single affair seems to leave me completely speechless.  And I love it.  Also on my love list?  This beyond beautiful Sault Restaurant affair with its perfectly pretty cake from Sweet Tiers, joyous lovebirds and lavender fields aplenty.  See every last speech defying moment captured by Verve Photo Co. in the full gallery.

From the Bride… Only one week after getting engaged we decided to go for a drive to Daylesford, to visit a place that I had heard lots about being a fantastic wedding venue. On our first visit to Sault Restaurant we absolutely fell in love with the place straight away. The stunning brick building with a picturesque backdrop of the lavender fields, the lake, and the intimate warm cosy atmosphere was exactly what we were after.

Our idea of a dream wedding was to be a relaxed, enjoyable and a fun wedding for everyone involved. We didn’t want it being stressful or a headache but a fun experience for both us and our guests.

Our ceremony was held outside on the lawn underneath the trees where we overlooked Sault’s spectacular views and stunning gardens. I wore a Luci Dibella stunningly designed dress that was made of delicate Italian lace, and attached to my bouquet was my Pa’s war medal as something old. This was special to me as my Pa had passed away just two years earlier and always wanted to be there on my wedding day – and he was. Our Ceremony was immediately followed by Champagne and Canapés which were thoroughly enjoyed by guests, while listening to our band play soulful live music and admiring the views of the sun setting over the lake. The guests then moved inside for a formal three course sit down dinner.

I still remember the feeling of when I first entered the reception. I was overwhelmed with excitement and blown away with how everything looked. The copious amounts of fresh blooms on each of the tables was where my attention was drawn to first. My vision that I gave to our florist Brooke from Whitemoss was: simple, elegant, copious amounts of fresh flowers and candle light. And that is exactly what Brooke did; she styled the venue beautifully in conjunction with the team at Sault. Their attention to detail was outstanding and I was so happy with the results. The reception looked exactly how I envisioned it and more. The exquisite menu was served, the drinks were flowing and the band created an atmosphere to ensure everyone got up on the dance floor.

So many of our guests commented on what a beautiful venue it was, how amazing the food was and how lovely and attentive the staff were, which made for a perfect day all round.
