Napa Valley Garden Wedding from Sylvie Gil Photography + Annena & CO.

Shades of plum are the perfect choice for this wine-filled Napa affair set against the romantic landscape of Beaulieu Garden. But that’s not the only gorgeous color scheme woven throughout this day. Nope, this gem is so awesome it was deserving of two; purples and plums for the cocktail hour and an elegant switch to every shade of pink for dinner.  And Sylvie Gil didn’t miss a beat when capturing all the sparkling details crafted by Annena & Co. It’s romance folded into each and every corner and comes complete with a blissful couple, a rainbow of girly hues and happily ever after. And there’s even more in the full gallery. Take a peek.

From Annena Sorenson… Although this couple has ties in both Florida and Texas, their relationship from the outset has been in San Francisco, where the bride was completing her residency in pediatric anesthesiology. They fell in love with Northern California and Wine Country – tasting their favorite wines, eating delicious meals and taking in all of the beautiful scenery. They felt it was only fitting to marry the one you love in the place you love – Napa Valley! The couple enlisted Annena Sorenson of Annena & Co. to find a gorgeous outdoor destination venue and to design their romantic garden themed wedding filled with fun, food and wine.

Romantic gestures and surprises were cooked up by the groom throughout the planning process. “I had to be so careful in conversations because there were several surprises for the bride and also for the parents – I didn’t want to blow it!” said Annena. One very special surprise included wine magnums for the parents along with a keepsake bottle for the couple on display at the welcome table. The bottles were ordered with custom wine labels – designed by the groom. Guests were asked to sign the bottles in silver ink. Also at the entrance was a trio of birdcage mansions, brought in to echo the garden theme – and family photo galleries that hung from mahogany and iron screens.

Two distinct color schemes were planned. Shades of purple – in plum and grape – accented by fluffy white flowers in the cocktail area complimented the mulberry bridesmaids’ dresses and the couple’s love for wine. The bride’s favorite colors – pinks, soft peach and apple green defined the dinner and dancing areas. Centerpieces were created from a grouping of vases, each one featuring a single bouquet of favorite flowers – peonies, dahlias and tulips. The bouquets were corralled on a silver tray and surrounded by vintage style mini vases and votives.

A carefully chosen menu of Heirloom Tomato, Melon and creamy Buratta was followed by Boursin stuffed Petite Filet, Baby Vegetables, Truffled Potato Gratin, Sauce Bordelaise and a Frizzled Leek Nest. To complete the evening, this “foodie” couple who dined out often and loved to order cheese plates with their favorite wines, asked the caterer to create an after cake cheese station to reflect these happy experiences.
