Everyday is Australia Day on SMP Australia, but when the actual holiday rolls around, it’s time to celebrate in high style. And with January 26th right around the corner a little inspiration for your festive fête is oh so necessary – and that’s where Insight Creative and Carbine Avenue come in. They are serving up some serious loveliness in this beach-side picnic, and I can honestly say I want to place myself in each and every image. It’s one shoot worth celebrating, and it’s all sitting pretty right here. But it doesn’t stop with the party – they even sent along a cocktail recipe for us all to try, which is waiting for you below. Now this is one feature to toast to!

Mango Cocktail Recipe (Serves 2)
60 milliliters Vodka O (organic Australian vodka)
30 milliliters fresh lime juice
60 milliliters fresh mango puree
2 teaspoons raw sugar
60 milliliters soda water
Place all ingredients (except soda water) into cocktail shaker with ice; shake. Pour into glass, top with soda water, and serve.
From Insight Creative + Carbine Avenue… Living in Australia, we spend a lot of time outside enjoying our glorious weather, and Australia Day is no exception. Every year families and friends pile tables, chairs, towels, swimsuits, cricket sets, portable radios and, of course, food and drinks into the car and head to the beach. This styled shoot shows how we’ll be spending Australia Day this year — plenty of good food, great friends and lots of toasts to this remarkable country that we are lucky enough to call home. Our table was decorated simply with soft blue, green and mango colors — seaglass bottles filled with flowering gumtree branches, tin plates and cotton napkins.
The delicious food in this shoot was provided by Ashlee from Do The Honours and consisted of lots of Aussie favorites with a twist: chicken and coleslaw baguettes, dill and caper-dusted prawns on skewers, butterflied BBQ lamb roast and crunchy potatoes, followed by lamington cake pops and anzac biscuits. And to wash it all down, beers and fresh mango cocktails. Absolutely delicious!
