New Year's Wedding Shoot from Anne Robert + Something Vintage Rentals
January 1, 2013
There are so many things to be thankful for today. 2012 was an enormous, exciting, fun, challenging, crazy, wild, beautiful year for all of us at SMP.  There was The Book of course, all shiny and new and filled with such prettiness from real brides who love reading our blog. There was the partnership with AOL that literally changed our lives and the amazing future for SMP that we can't wait to watch unfold. There were more than 2500 weddings posted, over 4 million 500 pinterest followers found, thousands of comments and likes and from where we sit, "loves." It's been an amazing year and if this next feature is any indication of what 2013 will bring, with stunning photographs by Anne Robert and decor + design by Dawn of Something Vintage Rentals, well my friends...we are in for one fabulous year.

From Dawn of Something Vintage Rentals...The inspiration for the New Year's Day celebration was an antique Hollywood Regency starburst clock that has always screamed New Year's to me - so why not make a lovely shoot around it? We decided on a pallet of gold, copper, and neutrals, with hints of turquoise here and there, keying off the gold in the clock. We wanted to capture the beauty of a natural winter setting while bringing in Hollywood-Regency furniture to add some glitz to this fete. We played up the contrast of the copper and gold particularly in the tablescape by hand-making copper-leaf plate chargers while setting it off with gold accented china and flatware. Holly Chappel created stunning bouquets and centerpieces with a lot of natural winter elements in addition to gold and copper accents. And what is a bonne anne celebration without music? We picked up an assortment of amazing vintage instruments for the brides to play and had adorable kiddies dancing around her to celebrate 2013. Bonne Anne SMP lovelies!
