From Amelia Tarbet Photography … An “Old world chateau” inspired shoot. This was to give clients some inspiration to select gowns that are non-traditional and truly one of a kind. The 1940’s dress was purchased on ebay and features all hand made lace, embroidery and is 100% silk. Paired with contemporary shoes, earrings and make-up, this 70+ year old dress is brought back to life. The second peach 1950’s ballgown was purchased from Etsy. Paired with a bolero from BHLDN and it’s a perfect match! Both dresses are made modern again, are truly unique and look gorgeous. Best of all, you’ll be sure none of these looks will be seen on any other brides!

I received so many people saying these images gave them inspiration to go look for wedding attire beyond the local wedding shops. I hope it can offer SMP readers the same inspiration. This was a fun chance to explore the art of light and portraiture, including dark interiors.
